Today's Food Lion Freebie and the Quarter Back Deal.

There is a different freebie at Food Lion each day this week.  Today you can load a coupon to your MVP Card for a free box of Hamburger Helper.

You will have until October 6th to redeem the coupon.

So far this week, I have three freebies loaded to my MVP card.   There are 2 freebies that will be offered tomorrow and Friday.  It will be fun to get the free items when I make my next visit to Food Lion.

Also, Food Lion has their famous "Quarter Back" deal going on.  For each Store brand item you buy, you will get a quarter back in the form of a coupon to use on your next order.

I love this deal!  There are lots of Food Lion brand items that I buy, some of which are only 58 cents.  For instance, we love the Food Lion brand canned black eye peas.  If I buy 3 cans and get 75 cents back, I can then roll the coupon and get a free can.  I currently have a $3.75 coupon that I earned at my last visit to Food Lion.  So with my freebies that are loaded on my MVP card and this coupon, I can get several free items.

The quarter back deal also works on things like potatoes, chicken, or whatever is a Food Lion brand.

Happy shopping and let me know what kinds of deals you get!

Swagbucks - $200 Million by the numbers

The digital rewards site, Swagbucks, just hit a major milestone – they have given their members over $200 million in cash and free gift cards since 2008!

I use Swagbucks all the time to get free gift cards doing stuff I already do online, like shopping, answering surveys, watching videos, discovering great deals, and searching the web.

To demonstrate how big a number 200 million really is, here are some fun facts:

If you are interested in signing up for Swagbucks, HERE IS MY REFERRAL LINK.  Thanks!

Free Cookies at Food Lion!

You can get a free package of Pillsbury Refrigerated Cookie Dough at Food Lion right now!

If you haven't already registered your MVP card on line at Food Lion.Com, you will need to do that first.  Once you have registered, simply load the free cookie dough coupon to your MVP card.

Once you have loaded the coupon to your MVP card, you will have until October 6th to redeem it.

Cookie dough is not on my diet! (Boo!)  But I have family members (hubby and grandchildren) who would love it and I will probably sneak and eat at least one cookie!

CVS Hair Color Deals

Right now CVS has a promotion going on for hair color.  After you buy 7 boxes of any hair color, you get the next box free.  I guess I'm sharing personal information here, but I use both hair color and root touch up.

There are always some great coupons for hair color and CVS offers Extra Bucks Rewards on hair color regularly.

So save your coupons from the newspaper, or print them out from on line, and watch the CVS sales to get the best buy.  Roll those Extra Bucks.

This is a great way to stock up on hair color and never have to pay full price.

Here's my supply underneath the bathroom sink:

My hair color routine goes like this.  I'll get a hair cut and then I'll color my hair using the Clairol.  I stretch the time out as long as possible, usually about 6 weeks, and then I'll use the root touch up.  This will last me about another month.  By this time I need another haircut and will start the process all over again.
